Fiat goes Professional on vans
Date:
02 July 2007
Fiat and Fiat vans have changed names and logos. The light commercial vehicle division has changed its name to Fiat Professional, effective immediately.
The car division Fiat Auto has also changed its name and will now be known as Fiat Group Automobiles. The move is part of a new worldwide plan at Fiat Group HQ.
Both the car and van divisions now feature a new logo which will feature on all new models starting with the Bravo.
A Fiat spokesman said: "The word Professional highlights the brand's aspiration to give the image independent status, while at the same time accentuating its ability to respond to the needs of professional customers. The most obvious proof of this is the fact that it has represented a day-to-day ally in the working world for over a century, with a role in the economic and social development of many countries."
Fiat Professional has 162 dealers in the UK.
