GENEVA SHOW: Peugeot announces new trio

Date: 13 February 2007

Peugeot will reveal three new models at next month's Geneva motor show, with the seven-seat 4007 4x4 joined by the new 207 GTi THP 175 and a concept version of the forthcoming 207 SW small estate.

The 207 SW will be previewed by the Outdoor Concept, complete with the panoramic glass roof, split-opening rear hatch and increased space over the 206 SW it replaces. It arrives to complete the 207 range this autumn.

Before that, the hot hatch 207 GTi THP 175 arrives in May, with the THP standing for Turbo High Pressure and the 175 for the PS power figure. These models join the three- and five-door 207 launched last year, and the 207CC convertible model.

The third new model to be shown at Geneva is the 4007 off-roader. The seven-seater arrives in the UK this August, having been spawned from a joint venture between Mitsubishi and PSA Peugeot Citroen that will has already led to the new Mitsubishi Outlander and will also give birth to the Citroen C-Crosser at Geneva. In all three vehicles, the preferential engine option is the 156PS 2.2-litre HDi.
