Mini gets eco-tech

Date: 26 May 2007

Mini

Mini is to get the new green technology already introduced to the BMW 1- and 5-series ranges, as revealed exclusively by BusinessCar earlier this month. CO2 drops by between 7.2 and 11.9% and mpg is up by 6.5 to 12.8% depending on model.

The improvements come about thanks to a combination of brake energy regeneration, automatic start-stop function and a readout that prompts the driver into the most economic gear.

The technology will be fitted as standard to all Minis from August.
