Peugeot plans TT rivalling 308 coupe

Date: 31 July 2007

Peugeot will reveal this 308-based coupe at the Frankfurt motor show in September, which is expected to make it into production in 2009.

Badged RC Z, the concept does not hint at a replacement for the convertible 307CC. Instead Peugeot is understood to be considering slotting the 308 RC Z between the 308CC and the 407 Coupe.

At nearly 4.3m long the 308 RC Z is fractionally larger than an Audi TT and uses a 218PS 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a CO2 output of 160g/km and fuel consumption of 42.2mpg.
