Price of diesel passes £1

The price of diesel has passed the psychological £1 a litre mark, beyond the figure that sparked the fuel protests of 2000.

Figures from leading fuel card supplier Arval show that last week diesel hit 100.1 pence a litre, up 0.2ppl on the previous week.
