Skoda increases its Scouting efforts

Date: 13 February 2007

Skoda Roomster Scout

Skoda has revealed a second Scout model, with the Roomster Scout joining the Octavia Scout in the company's line-up.

The Roomster Scout is a raised, plastic-clad faux off-road version of the supermini-MPV launched last year, and is 14mm longer, 11mm wider and 43mm taller than its base model. On sale in June, the Roomster Scout costs from £12,505 for the 1.4-litre 85PS model, rising through four engine options to the top-spec 105PS 1.9 TDI PD diesel at £14,050.

Skoda has also added a base 1.2-litre 70PS model to the standard Roomster range. Priced from £9920, the new model is available from the end of this month and standard kit includes CD player, six airbags and tinted glass.
