The start point for the best source of fleet information

Subaru spills the beans

Date: 10 August 2007   |   Author: John Mahoney

Subaru is primed to get serious with fleet with a raft of new BIK-friendly all-new models set to make their worldwide debut at the Frankfurt motor show, 11 September.

Before then, the Japanese firm has released early teasing details about cars, it hopes, will finally win businesses' hearts as well as minds.

Star of the stand no doubt will be the rally version of the forthcoming Impreza that is hotly tipped to donate styling cues for the fire breathing STi flagship.

Big news for business will be the humbler models that, for the first time, will offer a diesel and be highly competitive with emissions and economy.

Timeline for the Impreza indicates the 5-door hatch will arrive before the end of the year. The 150PS diesel will arrive late next year but before that will make its UK debut in the Legacy and Outback come March and the bigger Forester by June.

Also on show will be the revised Tribecca and the Subaru Justy supermini. The Tribecca gets an all-new look and a more powerful and fuel efficient 3.6-litre petrol and is on sale next year.
