Date: 03 January 2007

Vauxhall has unveiled its new Corsa VXR, the quickest model in the new Corsa line-up.

The 192PS model is estimated to cost £15,595 when it arrives in the UK this March. Available only as a three-door, the VXR is distinguishable by side skirts, roof spoiler, and large centrally mounted exhaust pipe.

The turbocharged 1.6-litre engine is capable of taking the Corsa VXR to 60mph in 6.8 seconds, and on to 140mph, while returning a claimed average 35.8mpg.
