The start point for the best source of fleet information

Vauxhall updates Zafira

Date: 19 November 2007

GM Europe has released the first pictures of the Vauxhall Zafira's mid-life refresh.

As you can see from the pictures, it's pretty much business as usual for the fleet favourite, with only new tail-lights and a new chrome effect at the front giving away that this is the refreshed version. On the inside, top-spec Design, Elite and VXR models will now get a piano black centre console.

The engine line-up initially remains the same, and all models will now get standard curtain airbags.

There are some changes to the trim levels, with Club being replaced by Exclusiv and a new Breeze trim added, the latter offering standard rear tinted glass, leather-trimmed steering wheel, trip computer and silver-finished roof rails.

The new Zafira goes on sale next March, with more details on pricing and any spec changes coming nearer the launch date.

A new 115PS 1.6-litre petrol engine will also be available in the 2008 car three months after it goes on sale. Replacing the current 105PS 1.6, the new engine is not only more powerful, but is 4.3% more efficient returning a 40.4mpg average.
