The start point for the best source of fleet information

Alphabet launches its own 'green label'

Date: 19 May 2008

Alphabet is launching a colour-coded method of displaying a vehicle's CO2 emissions.

The Fleet Carbon Report is based on the Vehicle Certification Agency's 'green label' system. The reports are compiled using VCA emissions data and Alphabet contract data.

The aim is to help Alphabet customers to reduce their carbon footprint and help with savings on fuel bills.

"Our carbon report is a strong starting point for discussions with our customers about reducing their CO2 emissions and managing whole life costs," said Alphabet's director Mark Sinclair.

"Educating drivers and making subtle tweaks to allocation policies may be just as effective as, for example, imposing caps on CO2."
