Audi confirms TT diesel

Date: 27 February 2008

Audi TT

Audi has confirmed it will be putting a diesel engine in the BusinessCar award-winning TT for the first time, as revealed by BusinessCar when the petrol versions were launched in 2006.

As with the petrol versions, the TT will be available with both the coupe and roadster bodystyles.

Performance is still impressive, with the coupe making the 0-62mph sprint in 7.5secs, with the roadster taking 7.7secs.

The TT diesel uses the 170PS 2.0 TDI engine seen accross the VW Group, and has an average fuel economy of 44mpg and 42mpg for the hard- and drop-top respectively. Another result of this is CO2 figures of 140g/km and 145g/km respectively.

Dates and prices are yet to be confirmed, but keep an eye on our website for more details closer to the launch.
