Avis adds Fiat 500s to its rental fleet

Rental company Avis has added 200 Fiat 500s to its rental fleet.

The superminis are available to hire now, and are based in London, Birmingham, Manchester Edinburgh and Glasgow.

All the 500s will be available with Fiat's Blue and Me system with Bluetooth and hands-free stereo operation.

The 200 cars will be available with the 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines in Sport trim. The two engines come with emissions figures of 149 and 110g/km CO2 respectively.

"Fiat is aware of the value rental offers in the case of getting new people into our cars for the first time and that is why we are putting a small fleet of 500s into some high rental volume Avis stations," said Adam Pumfrey, Fiat Group's fleet and remarketing director.
