The start point for the best source of fleet information

Awards 2008 - Fast-fit: Kwik-Fit Fleet

Date: 22 January 2008

The secret to winning this category 15 times in a row may be simple, but it's not easy. Kwik-Fit Fleet keeps things simple by giving customers what they want - good, reasonably priced service - and working hard at it.

The company hasn't achieved those aims without continually looking for improvements to its service levels and even the number of services it offers.

The past year has seen a rebranding, a huge expansion in the firm's tyre safety-checking operation, the addition of a windscreen repair service, a new website and a new centre-location service using text messaging.

Kwik-Fit Fleet boss Mike Wise (pictured)?said: "Kwik-Fit's seven-day-a-week operation and extended opening hours coupled with the ability to call-in for virtually all work to be carried out has been a winning formula." Kwik-Fit now has 670 high street fast-fit outlets in the UK and 200 mobile fitting units.

Wise added: "I believe that demand for mobile tyre fitting will continue to rise as time pressure on business drivers coupled with a growing focus on road safety increases. The latter is seeing more businesses applying rigorous health and safety policies that include tyre safety checks.

"That focus by companies on at-work driver safety is driving up tyre safety checks and this year Kwik-Fit Fleet Mobile technicians expect to complete 250,000 inspections, up from 200,000 last year."
