BCA buys remarketing services business

BusinessCar Awards winner BCA has completed the purchase of remarketing services firm United Fleet Distribution from Mears Group.
The auctions company has bought UFD to enhance its inspection and collection service.
UFD has recently invested in customer service software that enables tasks such as status tracking, driver allocation and incident management. All UFD drivers are able to electronic vehicle appraisals with hand held technology.
The company's current client list includes BT Fleet, Lombard and Lex.
"UFD is a great fit with our existing business and gives us scope to enhance the range and levels of service we offer to companies operating within the motor industry," said BCA CEO Jon Olsen.
"In particular, it will enable us to enhance our Inspect and Collect service to our fleet and leasing clients."
