Car of the Year shortlist revealed

The shortlist for the European Car of the Year 2009 has been revealed and is dominated by fleet favourites.
In alphabetical order the contenders are:
The results are judged by motoring journalists from 23 countries and will be revealed on 17 November.
Previous winners have included the Fiat 500 in 2008, the Ford S-max in 2007 and the Renault Megane in 2002.
