Council permits three-tier parking by car length

Norwich City Council has confirmed plans to introduce a new residential parking permit system based on car length.

Owners of cars longer than 4.45m (such as a Vauxhall Vectra) will now pay £30 a year.

Cars shorter than 3.92m will pay the existing charge of £16 per year.

Cars between those two lengths will pay £22 per year.
