Cybit signs Ford telematics deal

Telematics firm Cybit has signed a deal to supply Ford with a telematics system for its fleet customers.
Operating under the banner Ford Fleet Telematics, the system will initially offer tracking on Transit and Connect commercial vehicles.
Under the agreement, Ford has given Cybit access to the vans' on-board computer. This, coupled to GPS tracking, will allow fleet managers signing up to the service to monitor both the position and mechanical condition of the van.
