DETROIT SHOW: Quicker TT revealed

Date: 14 January 2008

Audi has launched an even quicker version of the award winning TT, dubbed TT-S.

Powering the TT-S is an upgraded 2.0-litre turbo with 272PS that is capable of 0-62mph in 5.6 and 5.4secs in the roadster and the coupe formats respectively.

In addition to the high performance engine, the TT-S benefits from larger side-skirts and air intakes and 18-inch alloys and quattro four-wheel drive.

Pricing details will emerge closer to the TT-S' launch, which is expected in the UK to be mid-2008.
