Fleet props up January market

Fleet registrations for January are up by 0.2%, although registrations overall are down by 2.1%.

The rise is down to successful start to the year for six out of the top ten manufacturers.

BMW's registrations saw the highest rise from 1945 to 4247, up 118.4%. Other brands that have hit the ground running in 2008 are: VW, Audi, Renault Honda - which enjoyed a rise of 47.9% over 2007-- and Nissan, which replaces Citroen in the top ten.

Ford tops the list once again, despite a fall in registrations for almost every one of its models from the same time last year.
