Ford confirms Focus RS

Date: 16 June 2008

User-choosers, who can still afford the fuel, will be able to buy a Ford Focus RS next year, after Ford confirmed it will introduce the range-topping model seven years after the first Focus RS went on sale.

The Focus RS will use the same 2.5-litre turbo engine from the ST, but tuned to produce more than 280PS.

Ford has released two pictures of a disguised car undergoing testing, ahead of the car's official unveiling at the London motor show in July.
