The start point for the best source of fleet information

Fuel-saving cash-back the only way to eco driving

Date: 07 August 2008

Cash incentives are the only way to encourage drivers to change their driving style, according to emissions software specialist Lysanda.

"Offering a share of the money saved when fuel bills drop means that, as well as putting less of a strain on the fleet budget, drivers get a regular bonus in their pay packet," said marketing boss Simon Harris.

Lysanda, which has several large commercial vehicle fleets interested in its software, claims firms could potentially save 20% of their fuel bills, which is more than £1000 for a Ford Transit covering 18,000 per year. This saving can then be split between the driver and the business.
