Green Motion Vehicle Rental has taken delivery of the first of several Volkswagen BlueMotion vehicles.
The car is a Polo BlueMotion, which emits only 99g/km of CO2 and is capable of around 74mpg. This fits with Green Motion's policy of only running vehicles with class-leading CO2 emissions.
Green Motion, which claims to be Europe's first environmentally friendly car and van hire network, will be adding further BlueMotion cars to the fleet, with the Golf hatchback and estate, and Passat saloon and estate versions arriving later this year.
