Honda reveals first Accord images

Honda has released the first images of the new Accord, due to make its debut at the Geneva motorshow in March.
Building on the success of the current model, Honda hopes the new version will provide serious competition to the likes of BMW and Audi in the upper medium sector.
The most notable alterations to the range come under the bonnet - the popular 2.2 i-CTDi engine is replaced by a new i-DTEC version that at 150PS is 10PS more powerful than its predecessor.
Statistics are not yet available, but the claim is that the engine will be smoother to drive while emissions will be lower. An automatic version will also be available on the new diesel engine within the next 12 months - the first time Honda has offered an automatic diesel on the Accord.
Initial pictures show the styling to be sharper all over, with more aggressive lines resulting in a more attractive angular rear end for the Tourer version.
The current incarnation of the Accord is popular in the BusinessCar office because of its competitive costs and fantastic all-round driving ability - we will get the chance to drive the new one in April so keep an eye on the website. The new car goes on sale in June.
