Insignia hints revealed as Vauxhall spies on itself

Date: 17 March 2008

In order to combat the problem of spy shots being leaked of its crucial new Insignia, Vauxhall has its own set of pictures.

With the Ford Mondeo rival Insignia due to make its world debut at the British motor show on 22 July ahead of its October on-sale date, Vauxhall is keen to keep the styling of the car under wraps, so has saved the paparazzi a job by taking a set of pictures of a heavily disguised vehicle testing in the UK.

Unsurprisingly, the pictures give very few details away due to the amount of camouflage. Vauxhall fitted basic round rear lights, and extra body kit to disguise elements such as boot spoilers.
