MBO for rental broker

Date: 18 June 2008

Online rental broker firm Traveljigsaw, which owns the Carhire3000 brand in the UK, has been bought by its management in what is believed to be a £25 million deal backed by ISIS Equity Partners. The deal was led by Greg Wills who becomes chief executive of Traveljigsaw.

Traveljigsaw is an international online car hire broker working in over 75 destinations worldwide. Established in 2004, Traveljigsaw sells into countries spanning Europe, Australia and South Africa via local language websites and through a Manchester-based call centre. Traveljigsaw claims to be the third largest broker in Europe, with strong growth year on year.

In a separate deal, ISIS recently helped former National Car Rental sales and marketing boss Neil McCrossan buy into business-to-business online rental broker Nexus.
