The start point for the best source of fleet information

New HMRC fuel rates published: (January 2009)

Date: 02 December 2008

HMRC has revealed the latest advisory fuel rates, cutting them to reflect the drop in fuel prices over the past six months. The rates, which apply to drivers using their company cars on work business, apply from 1 January 2009.

Petrol rates fall by 2-4p per mile depending on engine size, a penny per litre less than the equivalent diesel rate as petrol prices have dropped further than diesel over the past six months since the last review. LPG rates stay the same, apart from on cars over 2000cc where they drop by a penny.
