New Mazda 3 due early next year

Mazda has unveiled the next generation of its lower medium hatchback, the 3.
Two petrol and three diesel engines make up the range, with Mazda's recently launched 2.2-litre diesel appearing in both 150 and 185PS versions. CO2 emissions work out at 144 and 149g/km respectively, while the 109PS 1.6-litre diesel manages just 119g/km, dropping it into the 13% BIK band.
The 3 is expected in the UK in the first quarter of 2009.
