New police accident investigation manual released

Date: 16 January 2008

ACPO Road Death Investigation Manual 2007

The Association of Chief Police Officers has released the latest version of its Road Death Investigation Manual, one of the essential desktop guides for business car managers.

The manual exists primarily to help UK police forces with the investigation of fatal and serious collisions. However, its use is not restricted to the police, and road safety consultancy The Transafe Network has recommended that all businesses familiarise themselves with the contents of the manual, which highlights the implications of an employee being involved in a fatal or serious accident.

A free electronic copy of the manual is available on Transafe Network's website by clicking on the link on the RDIM news item at the top of the home page or you can download the RDIM here.
