Nissan claims load space record with NV200

Date: 24 December 2008

Concept version of the NV200

Nissan's new NV200 compact van will have a class leading load space of 4.1 cubic metres, according to the manufacturer.

The NV200, which rivals the Ford Connect (maximum load space 3.7m3), is the Japanese firm's first dedicated commercial vehicle to be designed just for the brand and not as a joint venture.

The load space of the NV200 will also fit a standard Europallet between the wheel arches - one of the key measurements in the commercial vehicle market.

The NV200 is expected to go on sale in the UK in the second half of 2009.
