Parking consultation launched

Date: 07 August 2008

A workplace parking scheme could extend to Edinburgh.

The Department for Transport is asking for feedback on plans to tackle double parking and parking at dropped kerbs.

The consultation covers plans to allow councils outside of London (which already has similar rules) to issue penalty charges without the presence of signs or lines on the road.

A consultation requesting feedback on the plans is available on the DfT website until 21 October.
