Revamped Mazda 3 to appear at Bologna show

Mazda is unveiling the next generation of its lower medium hatchback, the 3, at the Bologna motor show.
Two petrol and two diesel engines make up the range, with Mazda's recently launched 2.2-litre diesel appearing in both 150 and 185PS versions.
Mazda claims CO2 emissions and fuel economy will be greatly improved on the 2.2-litre diesel over its 2.0-litre predecessor. Further details are expected after the car's unveiling in Italy.
The hatchback follows the saloon version, which was displayed at recent show in Los Angeles.
The 3 is expected to go on sale in the UK in the first quarter of 2009.
