The start point for the best source of fleet information

Subaru offers the clearest view

Date: 21 August 2008

Subaru's Legacy Outback is the best car on sale for visibility, according to consumer guide Which?.

The Outback scored 63.2% in the test, just ahead of the Mercedes CLK Cabriolet with 60.4% and Citroen's C4 Picasso with 59.8%.

Alfa Romeo's Spider convertible finished bottom of Which? Car's survey, with a score of just 18.2% visibility. The other cars making up the bottom three were also soft tops - Mazda's MX5 and the Honda S2000. All convertibles were assessed with their roofs up.

The evaluation was carried out by using an electronic sensor positioned where the driver's head would be. This then measured the percentage of clear glass visible in a full circle from this point.
