Toyota IQ

Toyota's iQ city car, due to go on sale in January, will offer a 99g/km CO2 rating and a near 66mpg consumption figure

These figures are quoted for the entry £9495, 1.0-litre 68PS manual model incorporating the iQ's 3+1 cabin seating format.

Standard entry-level equipment includes 15-inch alloys, heated electrically adjustable mirrors, air conditioning, a six-speaker MP3 compliant sound system, rear tinted privacy glass plus a nine-airbag restraint system incorporating a rear window airbag.

Three interior and exterior customising packages - iStyle, iSports and iUrban - will be offered from between £250 and £400 while leather trim and satellite navigation add a further £700 and £950 respectively.

A straightforward pricing structure adds £1000 for the higher specification iQ2 model and an incremental £1000 if the CVT transmission is specified, placing the dearest automatic iQ2 at £11,495.
