Vauxhall reveals next generation Astra sketch

Date: 10 September 2008

Teaser shots are out of Vauxhall's sixth generation Astra that's due next year.

The five-door hatchback will make its debut at next year's Frankfurt motor show in September.

Styling and technology cues come from Vauxhall's new Insignia, including the 'sculpted blade' shape on the side of the car. The line drawing reveals the progression of the new Vauxhall design style that is to be carried out over the whole range.

Cornering headlights and lane change warning systems are expected to be among the technology available.

Vauxhall will keep us waiting for more details, as further pictures won't be released until next year.
