ALD's affinity aim

Date: 08 July 2009

ALD Automotive is looking to increase in the number of affinity schemes it runs in the public sector, following the relaunch of its Surrey Police scheme.

The Surrey programme, the only one of its kind with a police force in the UK, allows employees and their families to enjoy what ALD calls "ultra-competitive" lease rates.

The scheme, a renegotiated version of the system that has been operating for the last four years, may also be extended to retired officers, and covers new cars and those up to six months old.

ALD has supplied 2000 vehicles to affinity schemes, mainly blue chip businesses, with 70% being new cars.

"Affinity schemes remain relatively unknown in the public sector, but we believe they can be offered successfully as Surrey Police has shown," said ALD's John Wright.
