Audi facelifts Q7

Date: 16 April 2009

Audi has facelifted its Q7 off-roader and added a new 3.0-litre 'clean diesel' engine.

The engine, which will be offered alongside the standard 3.0-litre diesel, uses an additive called Adblue that reduces emissions across the board.

Both engines produce 240PS, however the clean diesel boosts fuel consumption to 31.7mpg from 31.0mpg for a price premium of £1500.

Prices start from £38,575 for the standard 3.0 diesel. First UK deliveries are expected in July.

Audi has also improved the fuel figures for the 4.2 diesel (from 25.5 to 28.5mpg) as well as both the 3.6 (22.2 to 23.3mpg) and 4.2 petrol engines (21.2 to 22.2mpg), although there has been no change to the standard 3.0-litre diesel.

All cars are expected to be in the maximum 35% BIK band.
