Drivesense wins EST training contract

Date: 02 September 2009

Driver training company Drivesense has won a contract to provide the Energy Saving Trust with eco-driving courses.

The EST has employed Drivesense to implement its 'Smarter Driving' campaign throughout England.

The lessons will be available to all employees of companies that sign up to the scheme, regardless of whether they drive on business or not. Companies must book a minimum of 24 lessons when they sign up to the scheme.

Each lesson lasts for 50 minutes and Drivesense will run eight a day for companies taking up the scheme.

Drivesense won the deal following a tendering process by the EST. Bob Saynor of the Trust said: "Drivesense demonstrated a clear understanding of our needs and provides us of a range of additional 'value added' elements to their overall package."

Lessons are expected to cost £25 per driver, but the EST is also offering 'taster' sessions. Interested companies should contact the EST on 0845 602 1425.
