The start point for the best source of fleet information

Fleets slammed over narrow-minded defleet view

Date: 17 December 2009

Remarketing firm GRS has branded the fleet industry "slow to adopt strategic change" and said it is not "genuinely exploring" the remarketing options available after finding the majority of fleets are focussed on a single channel of disposal - auctions.

The firm's Best Practice in Fleet Remarketing report also claimed that significant costs associated with remarketing are not taken into account, such as refurbishment, funding or staff time and salaries.

GRS said the most important factor in convincing fleets to look at wider remarketing routes would be the ability of a defleet company to underwrite a residual value.
