FRANKFURT SHOW: Three eco versions and one new model for Seat

VW-owned Spanish brand Seat has unveiled low-emission versions of its Leon, Altea and Altea XL models, as well as an estate version of the supermini Ibiza.
The 119g/km Altea and Altea XL Ecomotive models will be among the largest cars hat slot into the 13% BIK tax bracket, while the Leon Ecomotive will be VED-exempt at 99g/km, just 1g/km behind the supermini Ibiza Ecomotive already on sale. All three new models are due early next year. All three are powered by a 1.6-litre 105PS engine and the Leon Ecomotive is the first Seat to be fitted with the stop-start system making its was across the VW Group. More details, including pricing and fuel economy figures, will be revealed nearer the on-sale date.
They will be joined towards the middle of 2010 by an estate version of the Ibiza supermini, previewed by the IBZ Concept.
Devised as a rival to the Renault Clio Sport Tourer and Peugeot 207 SW, the IBZ Concept is near-production-ready and will join the three- and five-door versions of the Ibiza already in the range as what Seat calls a "family-sized" version of its most popular model.
The boot is quoted at 410 litres, which compared with the 207 SW's 428 and 439 for the Clio ST.
