The start point for the best source of fleet information

Grey fleet risk management tool launched

Date: 23 July 2009

Risk management and driver training firm Drive & Survive has launched a new online system for managing drivers using their own cars for company business.

Called Grey Track, the online programme securely records driver and vehicle information then tracks the information and sends email reminders for checks on documents such as insurance, MoT and tax and provides a document trail for business's duty of care responsibilities.

"Few companies with 'grey fleets' understand the potential consequences if a privately-owned car being driven for business is involved in a crash. As well as the driver being questioned, the company could face investigation into their at-work driving management policies and procedures," said Drive & Survive Managing Director Seb Goldin.

"All company drivers are treated the same in at-work driving legislation and therefore minimising the risk of all drivers, including the difficult to manage 'grey' fleet, is essential," he added.
