Inchcape launches new end-of-lease purchase plan

Date: 28 May 2009

Terry Bartlett, managing director at Inchcape

Lease firm Inchcape Fleet Solutions has put its end-of-lease purchase offer on a more formal footing with a new service called AutoAquire.

Inchcape customers have always been able to buy their company car at the end of a lease contract. However, ex-company cars are now offered with a six-month warranty, MoT guarantee and roadside assistance.

A range of financial products are also available including payment protection and gap insurance.

Terry Bartlett, managing director of Inchcape Fleet Solutions, said: "We have recently had an increasing number of drivers enquiring into whether they can purchase their vehicle at the end of the lease agreement. This is often for use as a second or third family car, based on having known the car all of its life and being very sure of its maintenance and driving history."

An Inchcape spokesman added: "With just a few weeks of the contract hire term remaining, drivers will be contacted by Inchcape Fleet Solutions providing them with the opportunity to buy their car. Those interested will be able to access the company's AutoAcquire website and obtain a quote by inputting the vehicle registration number."
