Lombard 150-vehicle deal

Lombard Vehicle Management has struck a 150-car and van deal with ERH Communications which supplies and installs roadside electronic signs.
The car and vans will be supplied on contract hire before 2011 and include Mercedes Sprinter and Vito vans, Vauxhall Combos and a user-chooser selection of estate cars.
"We previously purchased our vehicles, which travel all over the UK and can accumulate a very high mileage," says ERH Communications managing director Geoff Smith. "Much of our work involves roadside maintenance which is often scheduled overnight to minimise disruption, so we in turn have to minimise the risk of an ageing or high-mileage vehicle breaking down. We have therefore taken the leasing route, which with the level of back-up and flexibility provided by Lombard gives us a worry-free solution. We now also have a very smart fleet.
"We have been hugely impressed by the level of service we have received from Lombard. We have received extensive consultancy including guidance on tax, and the account team has been exceptionally efficient and helpful throughout."
