Manheim wins Santander deal

Auctions company Manheim has secured a three-year contract to remarket up to 10,000 vehicles for Santander Consumer Finance.
The deal sees Manheim as Santander's only remarketing company, and runs until December 2011. The vehicles will be sold through Manheim's auction houses in Bristol, Colchester, Rotherham and Washington. Manheim will also take care of reconditioning, valeting and offer a full auctioning service, including its internet based live broadcast Simulcast.
Santander first employed Manheim three years ago, and has chosen to sign up for a second contract. Vik Hall, Santander consumer finance boss said: "These are difficult times and I have every faith in Manheim's ability and experience in ensuring the successful implementation of our remarketing strategy."
