New boss for Autoquake

Date: 26 November 2009

Remarketing firm Autoquake has appointed a new boss, with former Expedia Europe president Dermot Halpin taking the reigns as chief executive.

Halpin takes over from Garry Hobson, who left the business earlier this month, and joins a firm that claims a 60% increase in cars it has remarketed and a 180% increase in revenue this year. It has remarketing contracts with half of the top 20 leasing firms.

"We have continued to be impressed by the level of growth and innovation at Autoquake.com," said Kevin Comollie, managing general partner at Autoquake investor Accel Partners.
