Peugeot steals Mini RV crown

Peugeot 107

The Peugeot 107 has stolen Mini's position at the top of the residual-value retaining charts.

Peugeot's city car held on to 60.9% of its value after three years and 39,000 miles, and took top spot from the near identical Toyota Aygo, which held on to 60.2%. The third car on the same platform, the Citroen C1, came fourth behind the Suzuki Swift with 59.2% retained. The Swift managed 59.5% according to the figures released by Glass's guide.

Last time Glass's released figures, the Mini topped the charts with 63.2% of value retained, while the Citroen was the best performer of the city car trio.

The VW Fox and Honda's Jazz are the other small cars in the top ten, while the VW Eos and Ford S-max are the other fleet relevant winners.

The anomaly in the top ten is the Ferrari F430, which splits the list by sitting at number six with 58.0% of its value retained.
