Polo scoops European CotY gong

Volkswagen's Polo has been named 2010 Car of the Year by a panel of 59 journalists from 23 countries.

The VW supermini beat Toyota's IQ into second place, with the Vauxhall Astra in third. The rest of the seven finalists were, in finishing order, the Skoda Yeti, Mercedes E-class, Peugeot 3008 and Citroen C3 Picasso.
