Porsche confirms Panamera pricing

Date: 16 March 2009

Porsche's venture into saloon territory will be priced from £72,266 when the Panamera goes on sale in September.

The German sportscar brand has confirmed that the three-model range will kick off with the entry 400PS 4.8-litre S model, with the 4S four-wheel drive version of the same engine costing an extra £5000.

The third model at the top of the range is the 500PS Turbo, priced at £95,298.

All models come with a manual six-speed gearbox, while the firm's PDK double-clutch auto is a £2298 option. The auto alternative also gets Porcsche's stop-start system.

Standard across the range will be full leather interior, rear parking sensors, satnav and Bluetooth.

Unsurprisingly, all three versions of the four-seat Panamera fall into the maximum 35% BIK bracket, with emissions of 253, 260 and 286g/km as you go up the range. The corresponding average economy figures are 26.2, 25.4 and 23.2mpg.
