Date: 21 July 2009

Yeti

Skoda has announced its small 4x4, the Yeti, will cost from £13,750 when it goes on sale in September.

The soft-roader comes in four trim levels - E, S, SE, and Elegance - with the top of the range version costing £17,600.

The Yeti offers 19 different combinations of trim, engine and driven-wheel options. It comes with the choice of two- and four-wheel drive, and two petrol and two diesel engines. Customers can choose from 105PS 1.2-litre and 160PS 1.8-litre petrols and a 110PS and a 170PS 2.0-litre diesel.

The entry level E comes in two-wheel drive, with the choice of the smallest petrol and diesel engines. It offers aircon, remote central locking, a CD player and 16-inch steel wheels.

All other trim levels can come with four-wheel drive if desired, and the S trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, rear electric windows, while SE offers rear parking sensors, cruise control, a leather steering wheel and 17-inch alloys. The top of the range Elegance brings off-roading function with a hill descent button, cornering headlights, Bluetooth, auto wipers and heated seats.

The Yeti should get to first customers on 17 September.

Skoda has also revealed low finance offers on both the Suberb Greenline and the Octavia hatchback, which are available for £199 and £179 a month plus VAT.
