Vauxhall Insignia VXR revealed

Date: 15 April 2009

Vauxhall has revealed its ultimate company car, the Insignia VXR.

Powered by a 325PS 2.8 turbo V6 engine, the four-wheel-drive car will be available in hatch, saloon and estate body styles.

Expected to be popular with police fleets, the Insignia VXR has a 0-60mph time of 5.8 seconds and a top speed of 155mph.

The VXR version regains some of the styling originally shown when the Insignia was first revealed in concept car form including a deeper bumper, incorporating bold, twin mesh grilles either side of the main grille and a larger rear spoiler.

Prices will be revealed nearer the car's September on sale date.
