Workers becoming more CO2-conscious

Date: 27 August 2009

More than three-quarters of office workers are concerned about vehicle emissions than they were 12 months ago, with 88% considering CO2 emissions as important when selecting a company car, according to a survey of 600 employees by contract hire giant Leaseplan.

The company predicts that those numbers will rise in the next 12 months as public knowledge of the issue increases.

"Doing business in today's carbon-conscious environment means adopting methods to take driver's views into account," said Leaseplan managing director David Brennan. "All leasing companies need to continue to develop meaningful green initiatives that will meet the demands of business to reduce cost and carbon footprint."
